Our Mission
We amplify our authors’ voices by bringing their stories to life and connecting them with readers everywhere.
5 years of bringing authentic stories to life. One page at a time.
In 2021, our founder Judence Kayitesi decided to pursue a singular vision: a publishing house that would place the author's voice above all else. Armed with little more than a passion for literature and a deep belief in Rwanda and African storytelling, She opened Inzozi Publisher.
What began as a one-woman operation handling a handful of manuscripts has grown into respected literary institutions. Each year we receive submissions, and each year we help authors bring their stories to life.
Today, Inzozi Publishers publishes books every year across fiction, poetry, memoir, and non-fiction — reaching readers in more than 30 countries and amplifying voices that might otherwise go unheard.
We amplify our authors’ voices by bringing their stories to life and connecting them with readers everywhere.
To be a trusted home where powerful stories shape minds, inspire change, and reach the world.
Every decision we make is rooted in these core beliefs
We never settle for good enough. Every manuscript we publish undergoes rigorous editorial refinement until it reaches its full potential.
Authors are collaborators, not clients. We work hand-in-hand with writers, respecting their vision at every stage of the publishing process.
We actively seek stories from underrepresented perspectives, knowing that the richest literature reflects the full breadth of human experience.
We embrace new technologies and formats — from audiobooks to digital editions — to ensure our authors' work reaches readers wherever they are.
Transparent contracts, fair royalties, and honest communication. We believe trust is the foundation of every lasting author relationship.
From eco-friendly printing to carbon-neutral shipping, we take our responsibility to the planet as seriously as our responsibility to our authors.
Inzozi Publishers is founded with a bold mission: to be the definitive home for Rwandan & African literary voices. Three manuscripts. One unwavering belief.
Choosing Resilience by Judence Kayitesi becomes our first title to reach international markets, putting Inzozi on the world literary map.
Judence Kayitesi, Our Founder won the Outstanding Female Writer Award, praised for her strong storytelling and dedication to amplifying Rwandan voices.
Judence Kayitesi our founder has been awarded the Woman in Publishing Leader prize at the Women Book Awards 2026, held in conjunction with the celebration of International Women's Day.
Inzozi Publishers didn't just publish my book — they elevated it. Their editorial team understood exactly what I was trying to say, and helped me say it better than I ever could have alone. An experience I will always be grateful for.
Working with Inzozi felt like joining a family of passionate storytellers. Every person on the team cared about my book as much as I did. They didn't just publish my story — they championed it.
As a poet, I was nervous about finding a publisher who truly valued the craft. Inzozi not only understood every line — they gave my work the design and visibility it deserved. East of hope, west of fear, and finally, in the right hands.
